About

Christian Shane Galvin is a consultant in strategic marketing and project management working with small to medium sized companies ranging from fisheries to fashion, accountants and lawyers to software developers and retailers.

CS works in the technology and apparel industries garnering over fifteen years of experience.  Starting his career in North Carolina, CS excelled as an agent, fashion show producer, and merchandiser for retailers such as Belks, Dillards, Hamricks, and Southern Shows.  In 1996, he launched the Textile and Apparel Student Design Exposition to promote excellence among Textile Design and Textile Apparel students, sponsored by Dupont, Bob Timberlake, Cone Mills, and Tanner.  A scholarship award program was established for an outstanding management or design student.

Upon graduation from N.C. State University’s College of Textiles, CS moved to New York, where he began working with the non-profit trade associations The International Association of Clothing Designers and Executives, Jeanswear Communications, and The Fashion Association.  He reorganized the internal operations of two of these associations and significantly contributed to the execution of the Aldo Awards, IACDE Annual Convention, JWC March of Dimes Campaign, and the American Image Awards.

CS joined Holland & Holland as women’s and luggage coordinator.  He worked with a prestigious range of clients, including Jane Fonda, Tommy Hilfiger, Joan Rivers, and Linda Allard.  The sales volume increased by 30% through attentive details on the needs and response of the customer.

In 2000, CS joined NedGraphics, Inc., an international firm specializing in proprietary computer-aided design and merchandising software.  CS refaced the image of Fashion Studio Software, implemented a new strategic marketing plan focusing the brands emphasis as a premium product.  CS introduced many new high-profile clients to the firm—Retail Brand Alliance, Kohl’s, Gloria Vanderbilt, Natori International, Ann Taylor, J. Jill, Samsung America/East Coast, Jockey International, JC Penney’s, and many more.

In the dawn of 2004, CS launched his consulting business.  Continuing to work companies in technology and apparel, CS worked with a range of clients in public relations, grassroots campaigns, marketing planning, and project management.  Christian Shane worked in New York and Atlanta.

Then, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, CS moved to New Orleans to attend graduate school at Tulane University.  In 2009, CS will complete a double masters—Master’s of Business Administration and Master’s of Global Management.

Christian Shane continues consulting small to medium firms in a wide range of industries.  Christian is a Counselor with the Louisiana Small Business Development Center working with over 100 Clients in their business recovery.  CS works with Clients to think beyond the boundaries of their daily paradigm–to be innovative in strategic marketing through online media and build bridges to shorten your distance as an island in the ocean.  “Your customers first, prospects second, everyone else third”.
