Christian was amazing upon arrival. He was on time to meet me which was a great help! He walked me through the entire place and provided delicious sucre cupcakes and even some local beer for our fridge, oh and coffee too! The beds were beyond comfortable and it was such a great space to call home. Thank you kindly, your hospitality was above and beyond. If you’re thinking of renting this space, don’t think… Just do it!
Amazing place and a great host! He took the time to give us a thorough walk-through and even gave us cupcakes! The house is amazing and everyone slept comfortably. We absolutely enjoyed our stay.
This was my first time using Airbnb and it was a great experience. The place was as described and we were welcomed with cupcakes and beers in the fridge. There was a minor issue with the shower handle falling off but they were very responsive in getting it fixed. The beds were clean and having the outdoor space was really nice. We also liked the location- St Charles and Magazine St were steps away and it was very easy getting to the French Quarter by trolley or Über. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a 2 BR place.
Staying at this location during Mardi Gras was a truly intimate experience. I was well taken care of and tended to by the property manager and his concierge assistant Nadia. We were able to walk to our friends and family in the garden district as well as uptown parades and parties. This location is just one block off of Magazine street, where we walked to dinner or lunch every single day and were never disappointed. Ignatius’, Buddha Belly Bar, Apolline, La Petit Grocery, Dat Dog, The Bulldog, Coquette, the list goes on and on and you can never go wrong. There is also a great bagel spot on the corner called Stein’s, and a grocery store in either direction on Magazine. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The accommodation’s were all impeccable. Gorgeous furniture, tempurpedic mattresses which were both to die for, full laundry equipment so there is no need to over pack, as well as any toiletry I could have desired. I was provided with make up removing wipes, tooth brush (which I had forgotten), deodorant, q-tips, you name it we had it on hand. Christian and Nadia had also provided us with a king cake from Sucré, which was one of the very first items of my to do list upon arrival. We got in from a long drive after midnight, completely exhausted, and the first thing I saw on that counter was also the first thing I crossed off of my Mardi Gras list. Unbelievable. A true treat for anyone at anytime of the year in this great city. Lastly, we were also given a large book with lists of bars, restaurants, as well as myriad other ventures to take part in while visiting the city. I cannot think of one additional item or amenity that would have improved this experience. I cannot wait to return next season. Thank you, Christian & Nadia!! Warmly, Victoria
We felt very welcome and we were delighted with the accuracy of the (URL HIDDEN) was even nicer than we thought. It is small but very adequate .
The home is gorgeous and comfortable and looks just like the listing photographs. Gifts of food and drink were awaiting us – always a fun way to start your vacation! The fabulous owner and his assistants were there to greet us even though everything was chaotic from Mardi Gras. They were also available at all hours to answer questions. All of the units in the house were rented, yet we always felt like we were in our own private paradise. We hired the chef that he recommended and she brought groceries and delicious pre-cooked meals at check-in and we were set for a stress-free week. The main Mardi Gras parade routes run just 1 block away and the Zulu parade went right past the house – we really enjoyed watching it from the balcony! 5 stars all the way!
Lovely house in a great neighbourhood!
I stayed in this wonderful apartment for almost a month. It is just as pictured. There is no stove which I am sure is reflected on Airbnb but I didn’t pay attention. Really that isn’t an issue more of an FYI. You are truly one block from the St. Charles trolley car and close to restaurants and coffee shops. Christian and the property manager, Nadia are wonderful people and ALWAYS available. They went above and beyond with coffee, cream, cupcakes from Sucre and toiletries. Very, very kind. Washer and dryer are downstairs and easily accessible if needed. I miss New Orleans already and this apartment is a large part of what I miss. Oh, you have a private patio with furniture and everything!! Such a nice benefit.
Response from Christian:Such a pleasure to host Michelle! For kitchen amenities, there is a two burner cook top, a convection microwave (performs as an oven), dishwasher and refrigerator.
An amazing stay over New Years. We were greeted by Nadia and received a tour of the place – the welcome treats are a very lovely touch. The apartment is absolutely stunning and exactly as the pictures show. The space was plenty for my friend and I and perfect for relaxing after a day of sight seeing or for a night in when we were too tired to go out. The location was great – we used Uber for getting around and this worked fine. It was a bit cold to use the terrace but imagine it would be lovely in the summer. The only thing we would change is for the Internet to be stronger as it was weak at times and depending on the time of day would drop off – we did ask for it to be reset. Wouldn’t stop us coming back for another stay as we had a great time and fabulous memories of New Orleans!
This was the best AirBnB I have ever stayed at! No doubt about it. The place is amazing and in a neighborhood that is perfect for getting away from the French Quarter. So many great places nearby, like Coquette, The Bulldog, and many more. We arrived at the house and were met by Nadia. She had cupcakes from Sucre waiting for us, as well as a 6-pack of Abita Christmas Ale (one of my favorites), bananas, and coffee. Later that night we met Christian and he was very nice. His attention to detail is amazing and you can just tell he cares about his guests. I could go on and on about this place, but all I am going to say is that it was simply amazing. It made our stay in NOLA even better. Book this place now!
Yes the description was acurate, the neighborhood is oustanding Close to every place you would want to visit. We were received and had a very pleasant welcoming with beverages and hors de ouvres. The house is totally user friendly including access to lights, washer, dryer, AC, etc. Excellent reading material, maps guides etc.
My husband and I stayed here the week before Christmas for our babymoon and we could not have asked for a better experience. Christian and Nadia were very helpful with every question we had about the city. We especially loved the book with restaurant recommendations in the area. The house itself was amazing! It was very nice to be able to come home after a long day of walking around on Magazine Street or the French Quarter to a nice, calm, quite area of the city to take a minute for ourselves. I truly appreciated all the little things they did for us such as providing coffee, bananas, and the most delicious cupcakes up on our arrival. I would gladly stay here or at any of his other properties knowing this is the level of care he puts forth for his residences.
We loved staying at Christian’s house! It was sooooo beautiful and historic, and had way more than enough room for our group of seven. We stayed at Christian’s while filming a documentary in New Orleans, and it was the perfect place to come home to after a long day filming and exploring the city. The location is perfect, very close to everything you want to see in New Orleans. The beds were super comfortable, it was very clean, and we were lucky enough to be there when it was completely decked out for Christmas! Christian and Nadia were great hosts, very communicative, organized and very helpful. The welcome drinks and snacks were a very sweet touch!! Would definitely recommend this house to any groups or families headed to NOLA!
Our stay was excellent and I would highly recommend to anyone. Christian was very responsive via text/email with all our questions. Nadia contacted us days in advance to confirm our check in time. When we got there, she gave a thorough tour of the house and even gave use awesome cupcakes from Sucre (yummy!) The house is stocked with everything! Each bathroom had robes, toiletries, hair dryers, etc. The kitchen had all plates/cups/glasses/utensils/etc. Our group was very comfortable. We spent a lot of time hanging out in the sitting room enjoying the large windows. All in all a great stay. Comfortable beds. Close to St. Charles and Magazine Street. Beautiful house, would definitely recommend.
The house is just as wonderful as pictured! Nadia met us at the door and explained everything. We felt at home instantly. The house is roomy, yet cozy and is close to everything in the Garden District. We walked around the area and had wonderful food and drinks every night. Thank you Christian for sharing your home and making our getaway prefect!
This is a great place, my family loved everything about it. The location is perfect, 1 block to St Charles and the trolly, secure building and well maintained. We were greeted with treats and a detailed tour of the space. We felt comfortable, secure and at home the entire time. The balcony is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. Thank you for letting us book with you and we can’t wait to stay again next time in New Orleans.
Very pleasant neighborhood. We were greeted by Christians assistant and everything was explained. Very easy to move in.
Perfect house and a perfect location! Rather then split 6 family members up among French Quarter hotels and deal with the hassle of transportation every night, we put all 6 in Bayou Blue! They could easily walk back and forth from Moss Street to our house in Bayou St John. It was perfect for the group, who could cook breakfast every morning, enjoy a glass of wine in the evening and run back for a nap in the afternoon if they wanted to. This rental allowed for a seamless Thanksgiving visit to NOLA – one that would never have happened had we not had access to such a house or had to incur the cost of 3 hotel rooms. I cannot say enough good things! Thank goodness for Airbnb and thanks goodness for Bayou Blue!
Oh the Cupcakes! Very fancy and delicious cupcakes that weren’t too sweet were waiting for us! Nadia was waiting for us when we arrived and called ahead to make sure we didn’t get lost on the way in. The place is wonderfully decorated and in a great part of town just a stone’s through from the hip Magazine street and a couple feet from the trolly on St. Charles. I highly recommend staying here.
Amazing place, both spacious and tastefully appointed. Our party consisted of 3 adults and our baby girl, and we were very comfortable. Both Christian and Nadia were a joy communicating quickly to questions and coordinating our arrival (which was more complicated than normal). We were celebrating our mom’s 70th birthday and they were so kind greeting us with Sucre’s Cupcakes! The location of the apartment was great, one block off St. Charles (with the trolly) and close to both Magazine St. & French Quarter. Thank you Christian and Nadia for a great stay!
What an absolutely perfect place to stay while in New Orleans!! Great house, great location (close to City Park and just far enough away from the french quarter for a breather:). Our host though of everything: beer and wine in the fridge, fresh pastries and toiletries in case your forge something , and I did! I wish we could make this a monthly trip but not sure my liver could handle it. Don’t think twice, stay with Christian!
Christian and his team are very professional and have the hosting down to a science. They provide the right amount of southern hospitality (local pastries, beer, coffee) to make you feel truly welcome and you get the feeling they are nearby if necessary. We rented this home for my Mom’s 80th birthday celebration and all 8 family members had a fabulous time. The location is perfect – across from City Park (50% larger than Central Park), right on the Bayou and within a 1/2 block from the streetcar. There are restaurants within walking distance or a short drive and even an big old oak tree with a swing across the street. The neighborhood is fabulous and I’d go back again without hesitation. Highly recommend Christian and this lovely home.
Christian and the house’s concierge, Nadia, were wonderful hosts. Upon arriving early, my wife and I were greeted with local beers and cupcakes. The apartment is well represented through the pictures, and there was plenty of room to relax indoors and out. The location of the apartment is great, only a one block walk to St Charles and a few minutes further to Magazine. The streetcar stop was only a block away. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place for your stay in Nola. We can’t wait to come back.
Bayou views was a wonderful space! Christian was very quick to respond with any questions I had. The house was perfect and was very comfortable for nine adults. The street car access was down the street making it easy to get to the french quarter. Highly recommended!
Christian was absolutely lovely to work with, very responsive, friendly, and has a beautiful place for a steal of a price.
One of the most amazing homes I have ever stayed in. From an amazing common area to hang out, to the amazing beds upstairs this place is definitely where I will be staying anytime I an in NOLA. Christian is a great host and extremely fast to respond. He made sure we felt at home and had everything (literally everything) we needed to have a great week in NOLA. Thanks!
Stayed here over voodoo festival weekend October 2015. This house was awesome. The pictures on the listing were about as accurate as you can get and the neighborhood was incredible. Right across the street from city park, streetcar line 5 min walk and lots of quaint local bars and restaurants within walking distance of the house. The streetcar took about 15 minutes to get to Bourbon st. Upon arrival we were greeted by Nadia who was extremely nice and pleasant. She had bought us some pastries and a 12 pack of local Abita beer. Wow what a greeting. Nadia gave us a tour of the house, showed us pretty much everything, gave us suggestions of where to eat and hang out and made herself available for anything that we may have needed during our trip. I can’t say enough about how great Nadia was to us. My group consisted of 8 people – 3 couples and 2 singles. The house was perfect for accommodating our group. Plenty of space and room with all the modern amenities that you could possibly need. The front porch is so chill and relaxing and the neighbors are extremely friendly and will give you fantastic suggestions for local places to go. I am being truly honest and sincere by saying this was by far the most pleasant airbnb experience I have had. We are already talking about going back next year and I would definitely stay here again. A fantastic pleasant overall experience. If you have a group and are looking for a place in NOLA, look no further because it does not get any better than this house and the friendly service you will receive from Nadia
We absolutely loved our stay at the Jetsetter listing off Magazine street. The property and the location were perfect for what we were looking for. Clean, comfortable and walking distance to a lot of good restaurants – we didn’t want to leave! Was also a quick Uber ride to the French Quarter and Bourbon street.
What an absolutely beautiful apartment! The host has thought of everything you could need and it was very relaxing and enjoyable. It’s in a great spot near the streetcar and there is plenty of street parking (we were worried about this but it truly wasn’t an issue). They leave you some lovely welcoming gifts and it was so relaxing to sit on the balcony and watch all the action on the street below. I highly recommend this apartment, and both Christian and Nadia are so wonderful to deal with.
What a wonderful property, and a great host! Christian welcomed us with a box of delicious local cupcakes from Sucre, and gave us a tour of the unit including it’s history as a former property of the catholic church. The house is beautiful, and this unit lives up to it’s pictures. The location (1 block off St. Charles) is ideal for getting uptown or down to the quarter, or for exploring the garden district.
Christian received us personally with bananas to aid in our relaxing after the long drive, a box of luscious, high end cupcakes from the local bakery & a mixed six pack of beer. He gave us a detailed explanation of the features of his luxuriously appointed home and made sure we were set up for our stay before he left. He even provided spa level beauty products and a drawer in each bathroom of things we may have forgotten at home. High end accommodations are my guilty pleasure and this is one of my favorites by far. The location is SPECTACULAR, within walking distance of fabulous places to eat and shop. The memory foam beds are extremely comfortable, the kitchen well appointed for our cooking needs and his rental book outlines all of the fabulous finds in the neighborhood, which I spent much of our stay discovering. Christian’s attention to detail made our stay one of the best family trips we have ever had. He genuinely works to ensure a pleasant travel experience and I am already counting the days until we can return. Our stay was 1/2 the price of our last visit, when we stayed at the Roosevelt Waldorf Astoria, and every bit as luxurious. Using his fabulous kitchen accommodated my severe food allergies. His wonderful home allowed our family to spread out and be comfortable during our stay. My favorite thing about this home is Christian’s attention to detail. Everything from the cotton towels to the linens are high end. The home glows like a jewel box at night and is light filled during the day. I love seeing people doing jobs they love and are amazing at. Christian knows how to set up a home to be comfortable and high end. He obviously enjoys welcoming and sharing his native city with travelers. We can’t wait to go back!
Host was an excellent communicator and replied immediately. Location was great. And the house are very comfy and beautiful place.
I had a wonderful stay. Christian and Nadia were just awesome. The apartment is in an ideal location, close to shops and transportation. The St. Charles streetcar is just two blocks away. The apartment was very clean and beautifully decorated. The cupcakes upon arrival were so welcome after a long day of traveling. The master bedroom is just huge and a great place to relax. I would definitely recommend this place. And I hope to stay again for my next visit.
Christian and Nadia are great host. They welcomed use and gave us great information about the area. We traveled as a family and had 3 sets of couples and 3 singles. This house was perfect for our family trip and allowed us to really feel like a family unit when staying there.
Thank you Christian and Nadia for a great stay! The house was wonderful and perfectly suited our needs. Appreciate all your help in planning our stay!
Christian was a wonderful host, he met us at the door and took us on a tour of his gorgeous mansion, an obvious work of love! I am a history buff and what a history his house and neighborhood have! After acquainting us with the house we were offered refreshments and made to feel welcome. Helpful books were available to orient us to New Orleans and information on the trolley which stops a short distance from the mansion (and takes you to the French Quarter). Fun! The beds were comfortable, kitchen huge, living areas very nice for our family gatherings. Our group consisted of 10 adults and we all agreed that the Mansion in the Garden District was the perfect place for us.
The host made us feel welcome with a tour and history of this historic home. The house is one block from the streetcar. It is walking distance to Magazine St. and other fun spots.
Christian was a wonderful host – He had someone meet us upon arrival for a tour, and left us lovely treats. The house is beautiful, spacious and well appointed – We were exceptionally comfortable for the duration of our stay. It is a great location, extremely close to lower Magazine, in the vicinity of several restaurants. He was exceptionally responsive and attended to all of our needs.
Really amazing neighborhood, super close to Magazine street and easy walking to some really tasty food. The accommodations were as pictured, large, grand spaces. Our host, Christian was fast to respond and generous with his time.
Christian was there to welcome us and was awesome . The location was easy to get to everything. It is more on the urban outskirts of the garden district than we realized, so it was noisier at night and not as secluded of a property as we thought it was.
The Mansion in the Garden District was perfect! We were met by Christian and his concierge and from the first minute we enjoyed a wonderful stay. The house is in a great location, is extremely well-equipped and welcome gifts made it all the better…New Orlean’s sweets, coffee, beer and very valuable information! I can’t recommend this home highly enough. You will love it!
Chirstian and his great team received us in person, and accomodated an early checkin for us. The apartment is great, the area is far enough from the action to be nice and peaceful, close enough to be a 5 to 10 minute trolly ride. We really felt home, we enjoyed walking around the garden district checking out some gorgeous houses. We highly recommend this property, and will surely come back to it when planning our next NOLA trip. Be ready to be surprised!
The apartment was clean, tidy and very nice to stay in while we were in New Orleans. The location was excellent and very close to a Street Car line which meant it was very easy to access all the attraction ins in the city
The Mansion was a comfortable place for our group to stay. However, it needs some renovations inside. We were also somewhat disappointed with the location. The map on the site showed it within the garden District by Prytania and it is actually on the other side of St. Charles and a bit rough. Also, it said “Entire Home” but when we arrived we were told another group would be in the other side of the house and we would share the balcony that was outside our bedroom. But, overall, we were comfortable and the space was perfect for our two families to be together. Nadia, who greeted us was professional and welcoming. She had Abitas and water in the fridge and cupcakes from Sucre that were delicious . She also supplied us with coffee and cream so we didn’t have to run to the store right away. A nice surprise and very much appreciated.
Our stay at The Jetsetter was fabulous and Christian gave us a wonderful welcome reception and tour of the property upon arrival. This beautifully renovated house embodies classic New Orleans Garden District architecture with modern amenities and design inside. It was very clean and super convenient to uptown, CBD/warehouse district, quarter, etc. You can’t beat having a free parking spot should you decide to rent a car (watch out for the speed camera by the school during school hours). Cabs are easy from Magazine street, bus stops also nearby, and you can rent bikes a few blocks away. Simply a great location. Note: Cab & Uber fares (if you are lucky enough to nab one of the few Ubers in NOLA) were very reasonable to the quarter and places further uptown from The Jetsetter. For NOLA newbies, Christian also provides a very detailed booklet regarding the neighborhood describing places to eat (on various budgets), how to get around, things to do and places to see. Nice touch Christian! Beds were very comfortable (memory foam mattresses), the kitchen is absolutely gorgeous, and we adored sitting out on the porch enjoying an evening cocktail or our morning breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your lovely Jetsetter.
Christian was fantastic! Super friendly, relaxed, and welcoming. Had beer and cupcakes upon arrival, along with many other helpful things! The apartment was perfect for our stay during Jazz Fest, the location was perfect and the balcony was exactly what I needed every morning. I can’t wait to go back! I highly recommend staying here for Jazz Fest, or any stay in New Orleans!
My girlfriends and I had so much fun at Christian’s house! We spent the second weekend at Jazzfest there, and it was the perfect location and size. The house was immaculate, all of the bathrooms had travel size toiletries in case we had forgotten anything – even small touches like makeup removal wipes and a spare toothbrush! Upon arrival, we were greeted with Abita beers and two boxes of delicious cupcakes from a nearby bakery. This is a gem and we would definitely stay there again. Thanks Christian!
The house was really great! The location near the water and in the calm area, we liked a lot. No problem for 9 people to stay. We can really recomend this house to everyone who visit NO.
Our stay was amazing! Start to finish was impeccable and I can’t recommend highly enough. The pictures are gorgeous, but don’t do the house justice. Great, walkable location.
The Garden District Luxe was true to the photos, clean, and well kept, and conveniently located. The 2nd floor suite came with a large deck which we enjoyed, and the beds were very good quality and comfortable. We were greeted with some nice treats on our arrival and Christian was available by phone to answer questions and provide local recommendations. We very much enjoyed our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this nicely renovated third floor apartment in the Garden District. Host provided a very cozy home away from home! Very convenient location to street car and Magazine St. shops and restaurants. Your info book that Nadia created was very helpful. Thanks for everything!
My friend Alice and I arrived to a wonderful welcome from Nadia at ‘View from the Top’ – the accommodation was beautiful, very clean, with lovely added extras like toiletries and even a selection of fabulous cupcakes from ‘Sucre’ and a six pack of seasonal local ale. After a long journey we were able to sink into incredibly comfortable beds and slept brilliantly. The accommodation is fantastically situated, with the St Charles Streetcar stop about a minute’s walk away, which can get you to the central Canal Street (bordering the French Quarter) in about 15 minutes, or in the other direction to the beautiful Garden District and Audubon Park in 30 or so. Also, by staying in this accommodation, we quickly felt much more at home in the city than I think we might have done in a hotel – and the welcome in New Orleans is second to none. Be aware that in the bedrooms the windows are not fully covered by blinds, so if you need darkness to sleep well I recommend an eye mask or you’ll be woken by the dawn. Similarly, the road outside can get a bit noisy at times, as in any city, so might be worth keeping ear plugs handy if you’re particularly sensitive to that. Also, as others have said, the flat is at the top of two narrow-ish sets of stairs, without an elevator, so carrying particularly heavy cases might prove difficult for some. At the end of our stay Nadia kindly offered to let us store our cases in the building to save us dragging them around the town before it was time to go to our flight. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a home-from-home in this fantastic city.
Recently my parents and I enjoyed staying at Christian’s apartment at the Mansion on Jackson Street. It was clean, roomy, and artfully decorated. My parents arrived first, and Christian and his assistant Nadia met my parents at the apartment and helped them carry their luggage upstairs. Christian had all kinds of goodies waiting: decorative and tasty cupcakes, tea, coffee, cream, bananas, and 6-pack of specialty beer. In case we forgot something, the apartment had toiletries available for use. If we got bored, there were books to read and games to play. He thought of everything. We would definitely stay here again if we came to New Orleans.
“The View From the Top” is a lovely, comfortable space. I loved the layout, with two large bedrooms and a very comfy living room/dining area, outfitted with high-end furnishings. Christian is an ideal host — always available and instantly responsive for any and all questions. I highly recommend this space for a small family or two couples. The house is located one block from St. Charles Ave, with its dreamy streetcars rumbling by. The beautiful Garden District is steps away. My only caveat is that the house is located on a block that is somewhat “transitional.” Panhandlers on the corner are aggressive, although you won’t notice this if you’re walking in a group.
This place is a fantastic place to stay and a great home base for a New Orleans trip! The home is clean, comfortable, spacious, and well furnished. It very easily accommodated eight of us. The house has everything you need for a pleasant stay. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the porch enjoying the view of the bayou across the street. The neighborhood is great and we found several restaurants and bars within walking distance. Also within a short walk is the NOLA street car line which can take you right down to Bourbon St. for just over a buck. Christian and Nadia were very welcoming and allowed us to check in a couple of hours early. They provided us with two cans of local coffee, a six pack of local beer, and a box of pastries from a local bakery. Everything was absolutely perfect! I would recommend this place to anyone planning an New Orleans visit!
Wow! This was a fantastic place to stay for our NOLA experience with my family of 7 adults and two children. The house presented exactly like the photos. All amenities were in good working order. The bedding was luxurious. We required an extra mattress for our 9 year old son. We were very surprised to get a large blow up mattress . He was pretty happy. The location opposite the Bayou is very cool and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the world go by. It’s a short walk to the streetcar which takes you into town for 1.25. City Park is also a short walk . We also walked to some great little restaurants close by. We were lucky enough to meet the owners who were staying in the upstairs residence. They were very hospitable giving us directions and even leading U.S. Out of town towards the plantation. Highly recommend this residence for a short or extended stay!
We were running late for a dinner reservation but Christian greeted our family of four warmly and was able to give us the express tour of his wonderful space! Rest assured that the place is as beautiful as pictured. What was not pictured was the wonderful welcome swag of Sucre cupcakes! Delicious. Christian knows the area well and his restaurant recommendations were spot on. We did rent a car and street parking was readily available for the entire trip. Any questions and concerns were answered promptly. Would definitely recommend his rental to anyone and everyone!
Wonderful! Glorious! Perfect! My family met in NOLA to celebrate my brother’s birthday, and this was the perfect retreat! Close to everything, and yet totally peaceful. The accommodations are as wonderful as they look, and we spent a lot of time sitting on that front porch! When traveling with a small group, I can’t imagine staying in a hotel ever again. In addition to the house, Christian was the perfect host! He was very accommodating and gracious. He met us with beer, a box of incredible pastries from a local bakery and bananas! I would recommend this property and host to anyone looking for a peaceful, inviting, and authentic NOLA experience. Will definitely be back!
Christian met us at the apartment and gave us the lay of the land. Coming from the cold north,Philadelphia, we were thrilled to enjoy the second floor porch and see the azaleas in bloom. The place was beautifully designed and Christian had all the extra touches to make our stay wonderful. We walked to to see the amazing homes in the garden district and walked along Magazine. When the shower had a slow drain, Christian had a plumber over within a few hours. Thanks Christian. Your place is fantastic!
Lovely home, welcoming host, great location and nice little, local touches. If you want the Quarter specifically, then there will be closer locations than here but I doubt they will be quite as pleasant. Plus, you can always call a cab. No logistical hitches, easy parking. The price is in-line with what you are getting. If you are looking for a very different New Orleans experience than the French Quarter (which has its place but isn’t our preferred part of the city), this is a terrific option and one we fully intend to revisit.
Christian was an excellent host! The place is exactly as advertised. A large, clean, beautiful home about 2 blocks from the trolly car line, and about a 10 minute drive to downtown and the french quarter. The house was in perfect condition, and the beds were comfy. He was very responsive to questions, met us on site and was in quick communication during our entire trip. He even helped a member our group get back into the space after they accidentally left their cell phone in the house after we checked out. We had a great time and this is a perfect place for a group looking for a place in New Orleans. Would absolutely stay there again on our next trip.
My stay at the Garden District Luxe was absolutely perfect and could not have been any better! Christian was a great host and extremely accommodating and communicative. The apt. was centrally located and elegantly furnished. I will def. be returning to this property for my next NoLa visit.
This place is beautiful. The downstairs can get very chilly during cold nights. During normal or warm weather you won’t have any issues. Christian, the host is responsive and will do his best to accommodate any requests. Enjoyed my stay.
Lovely and comfortable. Ideally located one block from the trolley that takes you to the edge of the French Quarter or Audubon Park, and just a few blocks from Magazine Street and the Garden District. Oh – super comfy beds, and the place is very clean and fresh.
Our family of four had a great stay at Christian’s place. The apartment itself is fantastic, and very much as described and pictured. Very unique and fun experience to stay in an old New Orleans mansion! Christian met us to let us in and provided us with many extras: coffee, half and half, a six-pack of beer, a king cake, toothbrushes/razors. The master bedroom was beautiful and the bed was fantastic. The living area opens onto the terrace, which we loved and used a lot. Everything is new and updated but in keeping with the character of the original home. This was our first time using airbnb, and we were absolutely happy with our experience. Two things I will point out that I was unaware of at booking were 1) the terrace is shared with a neighbor. you have your own seating area with this apartment, as well as a shared table in the middle, and the neighbors have their own seating area. it’s a HUGE terrace on the second floor, and we had no problem with this. we just couldn’t tell this was the case from the ad (it does say “private terrace”). 2) this place isn’t *technically* in the garden district. it’s a block on the other side of st. charles. it’s a super convenient location, and we felt totally safe, but things get a little seedy when you go north of here.
Response from Christian:So glad you enjoyed your stay at the Mansion. Regarding your feedback on the location, the Mansion is in the Garden District. It is actually the corner home of the district, which does extend to the other side of St. Charles Avenue. This means that the area is also patrolled by the neighborhood security detail for the district. Looking forward to welcoming you back again!
I highly recommend View from the Top. The location is absolutely fantastic, one block from St. Charles and very convenient to Magazine as well. A quick walk to the streetcar and you can be in the Quarter or Audubon Park in minutes. Christian was a phenomenal host; extremely responsive and accommodating. Went above and beyond to assure we had a fantastic stay. The apartment itself is perfectly apportioned with everything you could possibly need. Will definitely be back!
Christian’s place was fantastic. The apartment looks even better in person and is very luxurious and spacious. The location is perfect for seeing all of New Orleans and Christian is a perfect host. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay at Jetsetter. Christian’s welcoming gifts of Abita beer, Sucré king cake, and Zapp’s potato chips were a great way to start off a fun-filled Mardi Gras! The location was ideal as it was a short walk to all parades, shopping, and restaurants on Magazine Street. The house was perfect from the front porch to the comfortable bedrooms. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for letting us stay here, we could not have had a better experience!
Truly Amazing. Just back from 6 nights here with my family and without a date the best vacation we have every had. I was there for my wedding and Christian the best host and so helpful to all of us whilst we were there. The location is great and the words cant describe how great the house is. I wish I was back there now and not sat at work.
One word? Impressive!!!! Upon our arrival, after a long day of travel from California, we were greeted warmly, given a nice informative tour, and left to enjoy his beautiful home. The box of amazing cupcakes and beers in the fridge were a super, welcome surprise! My group of seven all agree that the house was SUPER clean, nicely decorated, and a true reflection of the pictures posted. We loved the front porch – sitting outside with a glass of wine each night, watching friendly neighbors come and go. The beds were very comfortable, with super nice linens, and the bathrooms were stocked with anything that we may have forgotten to bring along. I highly recommend staying here! It’s away from all the hustle & bustle of the city but only a short drive to everywhere we were headed (WWII Museum, Airboat Tour, Plantation Tour & New Orleans). This was my first time using Airbnb but certainly not my last! Thank you again Christian for your warm, southern hospitality! You have a beautiful home!
Our stay at the Mansion was great! If you are traveling with a large group or family, the space is perfect. We had 6 colleagues, and the multi-floor, 5 bedroom, multi-bathroom set-up was perfect to give everyone their own space and privacy, while having really nice common spaces (kitchen, dining, sitting, sun room, and patios) to enjoy shared time. The welcome king cakes, cup cakes, and fully stocked Abita beer fridge were welcome touches! The location was perfect – easily walkable to Magazine Street for breakfasts, and one block from the St. Charles street car. We came as part of our (URL HIDDEN) project and were able to use the Mansion as the perfect home base for exploring basically all of New Orleans. Highly recommended for groups!
Christian was super welcoming! He was there to greet us and show us around/give us history of the home. The house was well stocked with coffee and even a case of Abita in the fridge. We had no problems during our stay and the beds were super comfy!
Our stay at Christian’s apartment was great. The apartment is beautiful, in an old mansion typical for New Orleans. It is located close to streetcar and bus stops and the Garden district. Christian provides towels, soap, shampoo etc. in case guests forget them. The kitchen is fully equipped so we could try to cook some traditional Cajun food for dinner. Christian was an awesome host and even left a bottle of champagne in the fridge to celebrate New Year’s. Overall, I can highly recommend to stay at this apartment!
The place was wonderful and as advertised. The location is very convenient as it’s near Magazine street, where there is an incredible coffee shop (District) and deli with great bagels and sandwiches (Steins). Christian was a great host, super responsive and overall very helpful.
Our host, Christian, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. When we arrived Christmas Eve, we had everything we needed upon arrival, including half-and-half and coffee (thank you!!). That was even more helpful since many shops stay closed Christmas Day. The apartment is just as pictured: beautifully kept, well-appointed, comfortable, nice neighborhood, and the mansion in which it is situated made us all feel very grand. The proximity to the St. Charles street car line made getting to and from the French Quarter ridiculously easy. We also enjoyed walking around and strolling through the Garden District, and even took the RTA up & down Magazine Street. We loved all the historic mansions decked out in holiday lights, and our host steered us to some excellent restaurants as well (and away from some that were just so-so). All in all, a fabulous holiday, and a perfect home away from home.
Our stay this December at Lions Gate was tremendous. My family wanted to have have a mini reunion for the New Year and this space was perfect. The house was exactly like the pictures and extremely comfortable. And incredibly beautiful. I was so happy that the house was decorated for the holidays! That was unexpected but a great surprise. Christian was the perfect host providing the essentials (like cupcakes and beer) and the extras like razors and toothpaste. Very thoughtful! The house was very clean and parking out front wasn’t an issue at all. I would definitely recommend!
Christian was a fantastic host during our 4-night stay in New Orleans. He was very responsive when we had questions – getting back to us via text immediately and cheerfully. He was also accommodating when our check in plans changed by a few hours at the last minute. In addition, we were greeted with some local treats! The accommodations were great. The apartment was as nice as shown and was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen was modern and had everything we needed. We loved the location – it was one short block from a St. Charles trolley stop and a small grocery store. There were also several restaurants within walking distance. The only caution I have is for people who are sensitive to noise. The neighborhood itself is very quiet, but you can sometimes hear people walking in the adjoining apartment – especially as they walk up/down the wooden stairs. Overall, it was a very comfortable, convenient place to stay and I would certainly stay there again.
Our stay at the Mansion in the Garden district was great. Our company was exhibiting at the convention center and it was a nice alternative to a hotel. We eat breakfast and dinner in the neighborhood a few times and enjoyed it….more locals than tourists. The house was as represented and worked great for the 5 of us – plenty of bedroom/bathrooms and the shared space to hang out in was great. The host had a 12 pack of local beer, some donuts, and coffee/fruit for us on arrival which was nice.
Christian was so informative during our check-in. I forgot to let him know what time we were coming in and he was completely accommodating and understanding. The apartment was LOVELY! If I lived in NOLA, I would be living here if I could. The location is so convenient, 2 blocks from the Trolley and so close to the Garden District. Coming from NYC, I felt like the area was very safe, although some cabi’s and guides told me it wasn’t safe to walk around that area at night (I did sometimes anyway…). Overall, I recommend staying here to anyone and everyone.
According to a New York Times article, Christian is a “super host.” I didn’t know this when I booked his place, but it was apparent once I arrived. On top of having a clean place to stay, Christian’s home is something out of a magazine. Lots of books and stylish decor make you feel like you’re *home*. Next time I visit, I’ll be reaching out to Christian.

This place is amazing. The house, the location, the way it was presented was all way above any expectations I ever had. I will be back, hopefully very very soon. It really did make my trip. Thanks so much.

What a perfect place! Spacious, beautifully decorated family space, comfy beds, and a shady porch to sit in and watch the fish jump in the bayou. Short walk to the trolley, museum and park and quick Uber ride to just about anywhere you might want. Christian is a delightful host who couldn’t have been more accomodating!

The home was beautiful and immaculate. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to New Orleans!

Beautiful 2 story apt in a safe and walkable area. Close enough to downtown and the French Quarter but much more quiet and safe at all hours. Also, walking distance (1-2 blocks) from many local clubs, bars, and restaurants in the Garden District. Christian is a great host, always available for your needs. The apt itself was large, comfy, and CLEAN. The nearby church bells tolling throughout the day were a nice touch.

5 stars all the way around!
From San Francisco, CA · September 2017 ·
This house is beautiful. It has charm, character and is pleasant to stay in. Christian is responsive and warm, I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this space and the hospitality.
Christian was a great host. Awesome house and location! I would definitely stay at one of Christian’s residences again.
Beautiful home
This is the nicest AirBnB I’ve stayed in! Gorgeous historic home that is comfortable, elegant, and has all the amenities needed to make you feel at home. I love the no shoes rule; the house felt cleaner. Beds are very comfortable with high thread-count linens. Location was perfect. 2 blocks from Magazine Street, and a $5 rideshare to the Quarter or the convention center. Christian was a fantastic host. He got us checked in within minutes of booking after our other booking fell through, and we are so grateful for that. He was very responsive throughout our stay. I will happily book with Christian again next time I’m in New Orleans!
5 stars! Great neighborhood, super convenient to great restaurants! Hoping to come back again!
Beautiful house & great location.
As a person that traveled back and fourth to New Orleans for 5 years this is by far one of the best locations to stay in the City. Quick and easy access to the Quarter, Frenchman St., The Marigiy, The Bywater, Downtown and the meatpacking district, along with the ability to stay in a more residential area of Mid-City close to City Park and views overlooking St. John’s Bayou…you can’t ask for much more! We had 3 couples stay here for three days and there is enough room and more to where you never felt like you were on top of one another. The house is a great home base to get into and out of the social scene of Nola, meaning, you get to sit back and relax with friends while feeling at home in the City, but have the ability to get into it with ease based upon location. To me there is nothing like St. John’s Bayou and this house sits on the perfect bend overlooking the water from the warm and welcoming front (URL HIDDEN) just invites conversation! The house was a perfect blend of old style New Orleans style with clean updates. This is the best get away weekend house for a group of couples or a family looking to enjoy Nola; but more importantly to take in the Crescent City for what it means to live like a local. From the front porch to the back porch (and huge backyard) you can sit relax and take it all in! Such a welcoming and warm house with old world historical charm. I would recommend this house to stay over any house or hotel in New Orleans, it speaks to the soul of the City and Christian our host could not have been more accommodating. If you are looking for the real deal New Orleans experience that captures the essence of the Big Easy, this classy, charming and clean home is the place to stay. Le Bon Temps Roule! Thanks Christian and the owner for opening up your home to us, we will certainly be back! Cheers, Michael
Christian is a very professional host and his place was fantastic. Great balcony, comfy beds, awesome neighborhood. This location makes for an ideal stay in NOLA. I would recommend to anyone!
Great location. Really enjoyed the decor of the library!
this is a wonderful place to stay… house is wonderful
We enjoyed our visit to New Orleans and staying in this condo. Everyone slept well, there was space to hang out together, and it was very clean.
Christian was a gracious host at checkin and ensured we had everything we needed and how to communicate with him while we were there. He took time to explain the history and visit about our trip in the true style of a southern host. Thank you Christian!
We had a fine vacation here for a family get together. The house is delightful – one issue with plumbing – but otherwise fine. Plenty of room for all members. Easy – 1 block – access to the streetcar. Christian is cordial, congenial, helpful and responsive. All in all we had a great week.
Really great stay at Christian’s place. For starters, there was never a lapse in communication and he was easily reachable via email/text. The home is exactly as pictured and described (maybe nicer). Exceptionally clean and well equipped from towels to drinkware, etc. Probably the best equipped airbnb i’ve been in (out of 7 or so). Gave us a tour of the house when we checked in. Note that like a lot of NOLA, the location is a bit polarizing and going left a few blocks puts you in a less gentrified residential area which leave a bit to be desired. However, it was never an issue for our group.
The house was immaculate – so much so that they do not let you walk on the beautiful floors with your shoes on! Great house with great walkability to Magazine street and even the Quarter if you’re up for it. Christian was a great communicator and responded to texts right away.
Overall we liked the place, and enjoyed our stay here. The house is big and clean, and Christian (the host) was always available to answer questions. He provided some beer and bananas for us which was really nice of him. The only reason I dropped one star is that there was a leakage with the shower on the third floor, which made it unusable. I’m sure he will find the best way to fix the problem soon.
We stayed in Christian’s house for a business event. It was a perfect place for us as it allowed us to have easier mornings with a full kitchen that we were able to stock with essentials so we didn’t have to stand in a Starbucks line every day! The rooms were beautifully appointed and super comfortable. Everyone had privacy but also a common place to gather to game plan for the day. Christian was a great host!
Christian was very informative and was very friendly.
Fantastic apartment! Clean, all the amenities you need, and a perfect, safe location. Easy walking distance to many sites and super close to the cable car stop. A quick Uber ride to French Quarter and other fun spots. Christian was a great host and made the process very easy! Will definitely stay again the next time we visit NOLA. Thanks for such a great stay!!
Awesome historic but modern apartment. We loved our stay there. We would stay again for sure. You can stay parked the whole time you are there because the St. Charles Ave Streetcar takes you to the French Quarter and you can walk to Magazine Street. Christian was really great and helpful too! He talked to us about the neighborhood and even had chicory coffee and some local beers stocked for our arrival. We felt like we got the true New Orleans experience at this apartment.
Christian was extremely quick to respond to my inquiries and provided our group with cupcakes, beer, and coffee! The entire experience was stress free and I would recommend Christian and this property to anyone. The loft was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The property has given me ideas about how to setup my own interior when I renovate. The location was perfect with many places within walking distance.
Christian’s place is absolutely wonderful. The property has outstanding character, is in a perfect location, and allows for the best experience of New Orleans imaginable.
Christian did a wonderful job of getting us in and settled. Questions were answered with plenty of patience and recommendations were made for restaurants in the area. A great stay that goes highly recommended. Thanks a bunch Christian!!
Christian was so sweet and nice. He is really great with communication, always answered my text right away. The place is very nice and upscale. I stay in a lot of different locations when I travel for work and this place was well decorated and came with everything you could need. Even though I was busy with work it was great to come back to this apartment and get a good sleep. Great bed, great views, great location, great host!
We loved our stay, this was the perfect place for our weekend with friends in New Orleans! Christian was wonderfully hospitable and the location was ideal for exploring the Garden District! Greeted with fresh cupcakes & slippers at the house. We enjoyed the very comfortable beds, and well stocked kitchen & bathrooms – I can’t wait to book another weekend here!
This place was wonderful! Very convenient and easy to get around on the streetcar. It was loaded with little “extras” any toiletry we would have needed, coffee with cream and sugar, and even a 6 pack. The bed was super comfortable too…and the private patio was a nice spot to enjoy a drink! I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice spot, Christian our host was very accessible and very accommodating!
We loved staying in this home. :-). It had such a sense of place with all charm & quirks of a historic home. The location was great, close to most everything we wanted to do. The cupcakes waiting for us were AH-MAZING. Would definitely stay here again if we visit New Orleans in the future! Great place to start our honeymoon adventures!
Christian made us feel so welcome with sweet cupcakes and a few food provisions waiting for us. He was warm and had much to share about the area. The house was beautifully decorated, nice and comfortable bed, in a beautiful neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend to anyone.
Christian is a wonderful host and this is a great location for anyone on vacation exploring the Garden district and taking the trolley into the downtown area.
Christian was a great host. Met us upon arrival and walked us through the house and provided a great history of the property. Great location in Garden District with several restaurants and bars only a block away and then a very short Uber to Bourbon St and Warehouse District
My group had a wonderful experience staying at Christian’s house! We came to NOLA for a bachelorette weekend which was planned last minute as our original destination (Savannah) was destined to be hit by hurricane Matthew that same weekend. Christian was prompt in responding to my request the night before we arrived and seriously saved the day by letting us stay here! The house is just like the photos – beautiful decoration, big space and spotless! This was my first time staying in a more residential area of New Orleans and after this experience I will continue to do just that! The location is in a gorgeous neighborhood with historic houses lining the St. Johns Bayou, with many cute restaurants, coffee shops and more within walking distance. To get to the French Quarter you can take the streetcar which is a short walk away or call an Uber (most rides were about $5 and under 10 minutes). The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing with friendly neighbors walking their dogs or just hanging out by the beautiful bayou – seriously idyllic! Honestly, my favorite thing about this location was being able to enjoy my morning coffee on the porch looking out to the peaceful views! Christian was patient enough to wait to greet us even though we arrived late due to some traffic. He left us some local beer in the fridge and delicious treats from a local Italian bakery. We seriously lucked out that this place was available last minute. Being under one roof for this weekend was exponentially better than staying at some hotel in the Quarter – all of the girls loved it and the relaxing neighborhood it was located in! We cannot thank Christian enough for helping us out! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 🙂
Great location! Beautiful old home with an incredible homey feel. Christian was a great host and very knowledgable regarding goings on in NOLA. Highly recommend this property.
Christian was a great host. Greeted us on time and bearing gifts. We enjoy the house, it was in good working order and very quite (good for our little one). We would definitely consider staying here again.
Christian met us at the house and was warm and delightful. On the counter welcoming us were delicious cupcakes, coffee, and beer in the fridge. The house was spotless and beautiful. We were in New Orleans for our daughter’s wedding and the 4 bedroom house was perfect! We loved sitting on the front porch in the morning, drinking coffee and watching the fish jump in the bayou, the butterflies flutter in the garden and the kayaker paddle by. The location was perfect as the wedding was in City Park at the Rose Garden. We will return to New Orleans and would stay here again and again. Thanks for a wonderful week.
Lovely apartment, location has easy access to St. Charles street car and Garden District, clean, updated kitchen and bath, and nice outdoor space for relaxing.
Our stay was absolutely fantastic! We were met on time with smiles and helpful hints! The place was lovely, clean and well kept! It was convenient in terms of transportation. And I would for sure stay again! Christian was super charming and wonderful host! Thank you!!!
The pictures selected to promote this NOLA gem actually do justice to the property, because the photos are exactly what you experience when walking through the door. Christian is there to greet you with a quick tour of this historical beauty. Make sure you pick his brain for suggestions in planning your trip. His knowledgeable insight about anything New Orleans is spot on. After many Airbnb visits, this was my first host to leave a very special collection of local treats. The cupcakes from a local bakery are impossible to not eat immediately. The property is a short walk from Magazine street. It’s not Bourbon street, but better. Yes, you must do some touristy things, but it will be hard to venture out too far from this Lower Historic Garden hideaway. The Magazine District provides an eclectic variety of cafes, java joints, fine dining and boutique shopping. Though you can easily dine out for every meal in this wondrous culinary city, if you love to cook, plan at least one meal in this glamorous kitchen. Appliances are top of the line. Shop at the nearby Rouse’s Warehouse Supermarket for everything you need, including the freshest seafood, produce, condiments, spirits and wines. There is a Whole Foods nearby, but this is better. A plus that it’s a local business. The two bedrooms upstairs were perfect for me and my two daughters. I miss the beds already. Beautiful artwork hangs throughout the two story unit. The interior lighting allows you to control the setting for perfect photos. One might think the house rules are a bit strict, but if you were renting this glamorous property, you’d do the same. A tremendous amount of creative work went into this gutted rehab. A stunning and comfortable property. I’ll be back.
Wonderful home. The welcome and layout was amazing.
This is my favorite visit to New Orleans so far. This is very much in part due to staying here. Christian arrived right on time and gave me the grand tour and history of the house. The place is old and has its quirks, and Christian was detailed on what to expect so there were no surprises. The place was as described, comfortable and spacious. We had 6 adults plus one infant, so it was more than enough space for everyone. You can easily have more people in the home without feeling cramped. All of the beds slept well and had comfortable linens. Christian provided everything we needed, including towels, robes, toiletries and irons. The third-floor bedrooms are my personal favorite since they have carpeting (my preference) and a more updated bathroom. (It’s worth noting that the only bathroom accessible from a hallway is on the 3rd floor. The others are only accessible from the bedrooms.) Everyone’s favorite room was the sunroom. You really don’t need a TV, just some music, food, drinks and good friends to enjoy the space. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook a few meals here and there as we did. Christian surprised us with cupcakes, Abita beer and coffee on check-in :-). The location is perfect for getting around town. It’s just a block from St. Charles, where you can catch the streetcar down to Canal St (15-minute ride) or the other way to Carrollton Ave. It’s also about a 20-minute walk to the many shops and restaurants on Magazine St. Parking was not an issue at all. I highly recommend Christian as a host and this particular listing if you’re coming with a big group. I would stay again!
My father and I had the pleasure of staying at Jetsetter while we were in town for an extended business trip. It was an outstanding experience, and we both highly recommend staying here. The house itself is wonderful — beautiful decor and artwork, comfortable furniture, high-end appliances, and an extraordinarily convenient location — just to name a few highlights. And, Christian was nothing short of amazing. He greeted us in person, gave us a tour of the house and left us with local beer, cupcakes and coffee to make us feel at home. What a treat! He was readily available for questions throughout our stay (including recommendations for great restaurants — there are so many!), and we both left feeling as though we had made a new friend. We would stay at Jetsetter again in a heartbeat, and we expect that all of Christian’s properties are equally as wonderful!
I can’t say enough amazing things about this host and his house. We came here for a Bachelorette get-together and this house was absolutely perfect! Christian greeted us with delicious boutique cupcakes, fruit and beer! after a long flight, this was a perfect welcome gift. He gave us a tour of the house; shared its history and provided us with toiletry, even a hotel wouldn’t have. He was funny and charming. He’s great at what he does! This has got to be the best Airbnb experience I’ve every had. He gave us local listings and suggestions to help guide us in his city. We had plenty of privacy and when we needed him for anything, he was just a phone call away. When we come back with 8+ people, we will definitely request to stay here again! Thank you Christian for uploading high expectations for future Airbnb experiences for us! 3
This space was truly lovely. My parents stayed here while in town for our wedding on the Cabrini Bridge, just a short walk away! We had easy access to all we needed in the neighborhood, very little interaction with the owners (who live upstairs), and ample communal space for family breakfasts, etc. I was even able to get ready for the ceremony with my bridesmaids which was a real treat. Christian, who is not the owner but manages the property, even provided us with a 12-pack of Abita on arrival! A real treat. Excellently decorated and cared for.
Christian met me at the house and was a friendly and generous host. There were even local treats waiting for us! This place was a great launchpad to explore NOLA from, with streetcars and buses easily accessible. Great restaurants within reach along with late night eating options and watering holes. I never heard any notice from the other guests in the house. All in all a great experience. Thanks Christian!
My work team of 5 was delighted with this home and our host, Christian. The home has a lot of character, and accommodations are very comfortable and Christian was easy to work with. Way better than staying in a lame hotel for our conference. We enjoyed spending time together in the sitting rooms, and the sleeping arrangements still afford plenty of privacy.
Great place and very welcoming host. It’s nice and out of the way from the great party, which makes it perfect to travel with family. Those wanting to go party at night, just uber to Frenchman St or Burbon St for around $10. The rest (kids) can sleep quietly, and be undisturbed. We were 7 adults and a kid, and had a great long weekend here. Would not hesitate to come back.
The apartment is located in the beautiful garden district, just a block away from St. Charles Ave. Can’t beat the location because you are a short ride away from all the activities and there’s plenty to see/do within walking distance as well. The apartment itself is cozy and comfortable. All amenities are new and anything you might need is already provided(shaving cream, q-tips etc). The only issue we had was that the temperature in one room is always too cold and in the other is too warm. But, it’s a small complaint that is already addressed with an additional fan and additional comforter. You won’t regret staying here. Have fun in N’awlins y’all!
it was an excellent experience! the house matched our expectation and Christian was extremely helpful when he received us! Perfect way to start our holiday in New Orleans!
This was a lovely home…exactly as described. Fantastic location right next to City Park and trolley line. Walkable to cute restaurants. Christian a fabulous host!!! Met us with pastries, coffee and beer. House well-stocked with any little toiletries you may have forgotten. We were there for a family graduation and this was a great place to be together and sit on the porch and watch the boaters in the Bayou. Would definitely stay there again. So sad to leave.
We had a fabulous time in this amazing home. It is graciously appointed with wonderful artifacts and artwork, comfortable furnishings, and a lovely view of Bayou St. John. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch overlooking the bayou and being close to the Magnolia pedestrian bridge where our daughter’s wedding took place. The three bedrooms are quite spacious with very comfortable beds. It was great to be near the streetcar and walking distance to City Park. There is a huge backyard and a great backporch as well. The kitchen has everything one would need and more for a gourmet meal. As an added bonus, the electric piano provides fun entertainment.
Christian was the perfect host. The house was exactly as pictured. I love the Garden District so I kinda new what to expect going in. The only thing I missed is that this apartment is at the back of a four unit property. Not a big deal, but if you are picturing yourself on the beautiful front porch, you may be a little bit disappointed. It probably mentions this in the listing, but I missed it. I highly recommend staying with Christian and when we come back, we will check his listings first!
Listing was accurate. Apartment was super clean. Host was friendly and accommodating. Beds were very comfortable! Right in the Garden District and walking distance from fantastic restaurants.
Christian was an amazing host, greeting us with hospitality, and history of his beautiful home. He stocked us with delicious pastries, spirits, and fresh fruit. Whenever we had trouble connecting to wifi and extending our stay one additional day, he was very communicative and resolved issues quickly. The location of the property is easy to navigate to the St. Charles streetcar, Uber friendly, and was easy to bike to JazzFest. Overall just a wonderful experience.
This is our second stay with one of Christian’s properties so as usual we appreciated the special touches (cupcakes! coffee!) and the high quality of everything in the home. As usual it was spotless and comfortable. My friends and I fell in love with JetSetter and it had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the front porch and on our last night we cooked in and found everything we needed. As a fellow Airbnb hosts I even came away with a few ideas to make my homes more comfortable. Thanks Christian!
Really lovely experience staying here. Short uber to the French Quarter. Super comfortable and clean and safe. Hosts were terrific in surprising us with delicious cupcakes and drinks on arrival. I would definitely recommend it.
The house was beautiful and very well appointed. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the world go by. The location was very convenient. We would walk to Magazine street in the morning and get coffee and donuts at District donuts or bagels at Stein’s Market and deli. They were both a block and a half from the house. The bedding was very comfortable and I loved the kitchen and the openness of the first floor. The bathrooms were very nice and good toilettes were provided (which was great since one of us invariably forgets something). Loved the house and would stay again. Past reviews commented on the abundance of rules, but they are things you would normally do anyway and they ensure the house remains a wonderful place for other guests.
The apartment is elegantly appointed and has everything you need !! Great location and view.
Christian was the perfect host- he communicated with me promptly and was more than happy to answer any questions I might have, including giving us restaurant and other local area recommendations. He even welcomed us with cupcakes to celebrate my sister’s birthday and a fridge full of beer! The apartment was exactly as pictured and was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. We were a great location, just a block from Magazine Street and walkable to a lot. The trolley is a short walk away and the French Quarter was a quick uber ride. I couldn’t be more pleased with my stay here.
Beautiful appartment! It was perfect for our group of 8 as we rented two units in this remarkable southern manshion. Would and will book again! Thank you!
Christian is a wonderful host Though I did not actually get to meet him in person, we communicated via email, text and phone. He was always very responsive and helpful and gave us the best reccomendations. This was a bit of a last minute trip with a larger group and he made it as easy as possible on all of us in accomodating our different arrival times and departures. The location is great as it is so close to Magazine street and Uptown, while not being too far from the Quarter. I will say that we did not feel partcularly comfortable walking around afterdark even in a group, however daytime was perfectly comfortable. And with taxis, Uber & now Lyft readily available in Nola, we got around very easily. and the pastries are heaven! A very nice welcoming touch. We will definitely be back. Thank you again Christian!
We an amazing time in New Orleans. 7 of us were there for a bachelor party. Christian’s mansion was perfect, very spacious. Beds were comfortable. He was very helpful with suggestions and got us a few food items on arrival. Highly recommend
What an incredible stay we had at Christian’s gorgeous apartment! He greeted us with gourmet cupcakes and beer before giving us a tour of his space. As good as the pictures are, they can’t do this place justice. Christian’s apartment is super clean and stylish – and steps away from Magazine Street where there are tons of fabulous shops and restaurants. Everything was perfect – thanks Christian!
We arrived and Christian was there to meet us with cupcakes and bananas (to replenish our potassium). The house and accommodations exceeded our expectations–so homey, so comfortable and big enough for all the privacy each one of us wanted. The quiet was much appreciated as 2 of our party had stayed a couple of nights in a very nice hotel and it was party time 24/7. We were there for a family wedding and it was great to have a “home away from home” to share with each other. One of my daughters came from Paris and my son came from New York; I came Los Angeles and yet we could all be together in the morning to plan and at the end of the day when we wanted to just sit around and visit. Friends dropped by to say hello and it was just like the place was our own. I am a nearly retired Interior Designer, so I appreciated the heart and soul the owners have put into their home–not fussy, but lots of character and love.
Great Host, great communication, and even better accommodations. Loved the neighborhood and all the little touches Christian did to make us feel welcome. Definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay out of the French Quarter, but still have great access to it.
What an amazing place and host! The view and tranquility of this place was over delivered. Christian met us with a warm greeting and all the info we needed. As well as local secrets and sweets. I would return in a heartbeat.
This home is even more beautiful than the photos. Spotlessly clean, luxuriously comfortable bed, piles of fluffy towels. Christian met us at the house with a fresh can of French Market coffee, cream, and bananas and boxes of Italian pastries. We love this neighborhood in New Orleans — a quick hop to the Quarter, but quiet and peaceful. Cafe au lait on the front porch watching the sun rise and kayakers on the bayou before heading out for the day. We visit New Orleans every spring and this will be our new home away from home. Thanks, Christian, for a wonderful stay in your city.
The house is quite large with multiple rooms for socializing. The dining table is huge and accomodates 10 people easily. The kitchen is fully equipped. The house is located just one short block from the St. Charles trolley, which travels to the French Quarter. Price is only 40 cents for seniors and $1.25 for adults. Parking on the street right in front of the house was available at all times and is free. Although the street has traffic, there is no noise once in the house. The house is located in the “Upper Garden District,” a neighborhood in the process of being gentrified. It is not as elegant as the “Lower Garden District.” The house is clearly the gem of the former. Christian is a gracious host and provided us with several boxes of delicious cupcakes on arrival. He is available by phone for questions. We couldn’t get the hang of how to control the AC so that it was equally cool on all floors. Christian returned to the house to instruct us in the AC and provided fans to correct the situation.
The place was amazingly beautiful. We enjoyed our stay there. Quiet neighborhood with nice views of the bayou and the house is really close City park where we rented canoes and played at the playground. The guest binder was useful in finding good bites. We had amazing breakfast at Elizabeth’s. Really good beignets at Morning Call. The host was prompt in answering questions. The host surprised us with yummy treats and drinks for all of the guests! Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time staying at Christian’s apartment in the Garden District. Christian made it very easy to check in, and left us some wonderful treats upon arrival. The location is absolutely perfect, walkable to all the major sites in the Garden District, and close proximity to the French Quarter. It felt very safe. The apartment itself was absolutely beautiful. We loved the balcony, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. It has been beautiful restored, keeping so much of the charm of Old New Orleans, but with modern elements that makes it comfortable for every guest. Though the surrounding streets were bustling, particularly Magazine Street and St Charles Ave, the apartment was very quiet. We slept like a dream. We would absolutely stay in this apartment again, it was perfect! Be sure to check out some of our favorite spots in New Orleans! Elizabeth’s for brunch, Bacchanal for an afternoon drink and live music, Domilise’s for Po-Boys, Cochon, August, Kenton’s, K-Pauls, and Jacques-Imo’s for dinner, and of course Frenchman’s street for some live music! Can’t wait to go back!
We had a great experience. Christian was an incredible host and even provided us with a much appreciated welcome gift on our arrival. Great location and everything was as advertised. We would definitely stay again.
Christian was the most gracious host. He left fresh bananas for us, coffee, and drinks. We felt so welcome, and enjoyed our stay. We did not want to leave. Our favorite room was the sun room, and the chaise lounges. The beds were so comfortable, and we all slept like babies. If we ever go back to New Orleans, this is the first place we will book.
Christian greeted us warmly. He gave us a great tour of the house an made us feel very welcome.
The listing description was very accurate. From the minute we walked in, we knew we had found the perfect place for our vacation. Christian thought of everything from the gift basket he left in the kitchen right down to the hotel style bath accessories. The neighborhood was beautiful. We enjoy having our coffee every morning outside on the patio and partake in people watching. A great vacation spot.
Christian (the host) definitely made us feel welcome. He greeted us with a Paddy cake and free beer in the fridge which my friends thoroughly enjoyed. The place was really amazing, it looks just like the pictures and I love how safe and quiet the area was. It’s about a 15 min Uber ride from the French Quarter, but I like that it was a bit more secluded so we could all get a good night’s rest. It’s a stone’s throw away from City Park, so that was nice as well. Bonus: there was also a really cute grey kitty rolling around outside the house. I think it belongs to one of the neighbors, but it came over to say hi a few times. Oh and also, you feel like you’re in a hotel with all the amenities provided, toothpaste, toothbrush, fresh towels, even a loofah, and more.
