This gorgeous stretch of approximately 30-miles along the Mississippi River is located in between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Known for historic plantation houses, agriculture, cuisine and ecosystems, Louisiana’s River Parishes reflect a long history steeped with influences from Germans, Acadians (Cajuns), French, Spanish, Native Americans, and enslaved Africans, all of whom have created a unique, blended culture that is alive and thriving today.
