Commercial historical renovation while satisfying the stipulations of various city organizations.  

919 jackson is considered one of the most architecturally significant homes of Jackson Avenue  and required extensive reviews by the Historic District Landmarks Commission and Louisiana’s  Historic Office in order to maintain the integrity of the renovation. 

919 Jackson was renovated from a double to a 6-unit building resulting in extensive  personalization by different owners over the years. Recent owners occupied the home for 46  years. Structure had been removed over time causing 2nd floor sagging. Owners chopped  away at the house.

  • White Carrera marble fireplaces original. Restored

  • Exterior front facade original restored porch railing 
  • Resotrecypress siding

  • Quartz counters all

  • Jacuzzi tubs 
  • Missions chevron clay tile 
  • Natural stone: travertine and state 
  • Original doors 
  • Repurposed demolition wood and remilled on site to create a grand stair and bookcase library  (thoughtful design)
